This report covers the activity of salmon in Norway, focusing on aspects such as harvests, prices, markets and exports and imports. EUROPE Norway Prices The future price for 3 to 6 kg in February is NOK 52.30 (EUR 5.40/kg), while for March and April 2018 they estimate it will be at NOK 55.00 (EUR 5.68/kg) and NOK 52.95 (EUR 5.46/kg). During week 5, the average price of fresh salmon was NOK 56.86/kg (EUR 5.89/kg). This figure is similar to that of the previous week and down 14% on that of the same week in 2017. Compared with the same week in 2016, it was up 11% in value, according to Norwegian Statistics. The weekly average FOB price of fresh salmon exports (HS 03121201 and 03121202) at Norwegian Customs in 2018 was NOK 57.02/kg (EUR 5.90/kg), down 20% on that of the same period in 2017 and up 4% on that of 2016.
