This market reports focuses on catfish in the US. It deals with harvests, prices, markets and imports of the species.
The average price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in December was USD 3,839/t, down 4% on that of November and up 29% on that of December 2016. During the year, the average was USD 3,420/t, up 15% in value on that of the same period of 2016.

In December, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 7,311 tonnes, worth USD 28,068,000 CIF, down 8% in volume and 12% in value on those imported in the previous month and down 23% in volume and similar in value to those imported in December 2016.
