Leading The Fishing Industry In The 21st Century

  (SOUTH KOREA, 7/3/2012)

With the experiences and advanced marine technologies accumulated in the past 10 years, Insung is now taking off as one of the top marine businesses worldwide.

In addition to its main focus of fishing, Insung’s business as a whole has been expanded to international trading with the establishment of an overseas trading office in Dalian, China.

Insung’s seafood products are currently being sold in international markets. From the South Pacific Ocean, the fore-front base of Korea’s deep sea fishing, to the North Pacific, South Atlantic, Indian and Antarctic Oceans, Insung is committed to providing fresh fish to consumers around the world at a lower cost and faster than any other company.

Despite its short history, Insung has established an effective management system of refrigeration processing and distribution in order to offer fresh seafood. Furthermore, Insung’s fishing fleet is composed of 10 highly sophisticated ships and the company is making its utmost efforts to supply fresh seafood worldwide.

Insung is currently conducting experimental farming on tuna

In order to produce fish of a good quality close to a natural state, Insung is raising chub mackerel and horse mackerel, and conducting experimental farming on tuna. These fish, raised in clean and pristine waters for 2 to 3 years, are fed with krill caught in the Inseong Lake, producing a delicious and nutritious fish close to nature.

Insung’s new quick freezing processing system guarantees perfect freshness of all of its products. The company has built state-of-the-art processing factories in major deep-sea fishing areas for immediate and sanitary processing. This system guarantees freshness all the way to customers.

With a streamlined distribution system from the catch to selection, Insung provides high quality fish from uncontaminated waters with strict quality control. From a company that catches fish to a company that harvests fresh, healthy fish, Insung is stepping forward as a leading company in the fishing industry.

About Insung Corporation

Founded over 10 years ago and starting with only a 3,000 ton trawl ship, Insung currently owns a total of 17 ships, equivalent to 10,000 tons cruising around the world.

Mr Park In-Sung
Insung's CEO

Insung’s 1,000 staff members are continuously challenging and cultivating the sea’s resources.

During its short history Insung has been ranked within the top ten fishing companies in Korea and it has accomplished a rapid increase in its fishery and diversification of fish species including tuna, mackerel pike (Pacific saury), pollack, cuttlefish and eel.

Insung strives to be a world-class enterprise, continuously finding new markets in areas around China, Japan and other Southeast Asian countries.
