The processing plant was established by Brødrene Aarsæther in 1949, and has been modernized several times throughout its existence. In 2005, the plant was taken over by Aker Seafoods and today it is a modern producer of filet and salt fish.
The business is located at Holmen, Båtsfjord with natural good harbour. It purchases fresh fish from coastal trawlers, both domestic and foreign trawlers. In addition, deliveries of fish are made from Finnmark Havfiske AS’ trawlers, which are owned by Aker Seafoods.
