Nelson and Sons, Inc., the manufacturer of Silver Cup fish feed, officially became Skretting US, March 2012.  

Skretting bought Nelson and Sons, Inc. for EUR 11 million In 2008 and made the  final step of integrating the identity of the family owned business with Skretting March 1.

Silver Cup started production of aquafeeds in 1956 and grew to become one of the largest commercial aquafeed manufactures in the United States. It produces feeds for the freshwater markets in Western USA, Canada and Mexico. It recently completed its new production and distribution facility located in Tooele, Utah. Following a significant investment raw material storage, batching and extrusion processes, as well as the office functions were consolidated into the Tooele site with the original Murray site closing.

• 2008: Skretting acquire Nelson and Sons, Inc., the manufacturer of Silver Cup fish feed, in the USA.
• 2012: Conversion of Nelson & Sons, Inc. to Skretting USA and launch of new product lines in the USA.
