Research and Innovation
Wanchese Fish Company was the first seafood company to embark on a new technology that took small scallops and formed them into larger scallops. The Scallop Medallions™ were introduced to the market in 1997 and the product’s success has changed the scallop industry.
Research into new products such as Scallop Medallions and on board freezing are just two examples of how we work hard to continue to bring the best products to our customers.

Wanchese Trawl & Supply Co
In 2015, Wanchese Fish Company was acquired by Cooke Seafood USA, owned by the Cooke Family, one of the world’s leading seafood producers. This allowed Wanchese to remain a family owned company with more opportunities to harvest and distribute seafood on a global level.
