The average CIF price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in August was USD 4,735/t, up 4% on that of July and up 30% on that of August 2017. In the first eight months, the average was USD 4,179/t, up 30% on that of the same period last year.

In August, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 10,079 tonnes, worth USD 47,725,000, up 12% in volume and 16% in value on those imported in the previous month, and down 36% in volume and 5% in value on those imported in August 2017.

In the first eight months of the year, they totalled 55,645 tonnes, worth USD 238,158,000, down 32% in volume and 11% in value on those of the same period last year.
